Roller track

Roller tracks consist of a multi-profiled steel galvanised profile with nylon rollers on Ø4 mm steel shafts. Our roller tracks are available in a 40mm and 80mm system, with the corresponding mounting materials and various accessories. For example, a roller rail guiding profile and various placon mounts. Available with flat wheels with raised edge  and as ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) version.

AssemBLY, slope angle AND LOADING OF MULTITUBE ROLLER TRACKS

Assembly of roller tracks

The plastic guide profiles can be slid around the steel profile. By sliding a hooking bracket around the profile and clamping it on a tube, the roller conveyor is assembled

Sawing of a roller track

The length of the roller conveyor is determined by the center-to-center distance of the rollers, which is 35.7 mm for flat roller conveyor and 53.6 mm for track roller conveyor. For the best result we recommend cutting between the rollers.

The roller tracks are simply clicked onto the tube with brackets

Recommended slope angle for roller tracks

Recommended slope angle: 3 to 6 degrees, depending on roller conveyor length, product carrier and product weight. Height difference is length of roller conveyor x angle of inclination. Example: x = 1200 x 0.06 (6%) = 72 mm.

Load on roller tracks

With proportional loading, the maximum load is 220 kg per free meter span. For spans greater than 1 meter, an additional support tube is recommended to prevent deflection and twisting of the roller conveyor.

WHAT IS ROLLER track AND WHere is it used for?

Roller tracks are also known as roller track rail, roller frame, wheel rail and roller rails. The plastic or steel rollers in the rails are flat or flanged for product guidance. Multi-way roller rails (omni roller rails) and rails with ball feet also exist today.

A roller track with plastic rollers is suitable for transporting and storing relatively light products in roll-through racks, transport trolleys and as supply and removal lanes at Lean equipped work tables. The advantages of roller tracks are that it is an effective, simple and economical way to construct a transport system. It is a modular, easily adaptable and reusable system. Roller rails with steel rollers are usually used for heavy products, chemical products or products that plastic rollers could easily damage. Steel rollers are also usually used for transporting pallets.

Roller tracks often have a smaller diameter, shorter rollers, and more rollers per linear meter than roller conveyors with mounted rollers. Roller tracks generally use gravity to transport products and roller conveyor rollers are often equipped with a drive for transport. Generally, a roller track is used to transport products. Often 2 or more roller tracks are mounted in parallel to provide stable support for products and to distribute the weight. In many cases the roller track is mounted at an angle so that the products roll down independently by the force of gravity. Accessories such as frames, end stops, side guides and hook-in brackets are included with a roller rail.

A roller track is used, among other things, in warehouse flow racks, transport systems, flow racks and ergonomic workstations.
